- Very similar to L030, but the dorsal fin is higher in L016. As with L030, the dorsal and adipose fin are joined together to a large single fin. In this species however the join is between the tip of the last dorsal ray and the tip of the adiposal ray. The body and fins are dark grey-black with many tiny white-cream spots.
