A peaceful community fish that should be kept in shoals of 6 or more. Do not keep with larger predatory fish.

Prefers meaty foods, will take pellet and flake as well as live/frozen foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia.

Does best in acidic water and in a densely planted tank with some open swimming space. Does not like very strong currents and needs hiding places.

A peaceful shoaling fish.

[edit] Identification

A small and slender tetra which has a pale orange-silver body and a small black band topped with a white band on the caudal peduncle. The rest of the fins are mostly clear with some white edging in the dorsal and anal fins.
