Sexing[edit | edit source]

Males first ray of the dorsal fin is elongated.

Identification[edit | edit source]

Smooth scale-less silver-grey elongated body with a pointed head which is depressed on top. The mouth is large, wide, and has extremely short barbels that are difficult to find.
