Origin
- Found in the Mekong, Irrawaddy, Salween, Red River and Nanpangjiang basins. Introduced in Kazakhstan where it is now abundant; established in lower Kuban drainage; spreading in Azov basin, discovered in River Obitochnaya, Ukraine in 2003.[1]
